Ohhh these two are cute. We love Sarah and Russell... not only for having the most lovely, relaxed and beautiful wedding but also because they absolutely adore each other... completely.
When I arrived at Sarah's friend's house in the morning Sarah was about to open a note from Russell... well it ended up a print out of every email they'd sent to each other... ahhhhhh! Sarah then got ready into her stunning Fur Coat No Knickers dress whilst her friends made up her bouquets in the living room and then packed her gorgeous little embroidery bag (a present from her Dad) with everything you could possibly imagine. That girl is prepared.
We all then headed off to Islington Town Hall where Russell and the rest of their guests were waiting. The ceremony kicked off with the most up beat reading (well song really!) with two of their friends singing a rendition of Paolo Nutini's 'Pencil full of lead'... everyone was clapping and smiling... I would recommend songs like that in every ceremony! Once they became Husband and Wife guests were given bubbly to celebrate whilst we popped outside to take a few photos before heading to the next venue...
...and what a venue! f you get the chance you have to go to Mosaica! When I pulled up I was intrigued as it looks like some old leisure centre but when you walk in... WOW! The funkiest restaurant awaits with twinkly lights, cool taxidermy and mismatch furniture... in.my.element.
We all then had the best buffet EVER and then all gathered around the stage for some beautiful and bloomin' emotional speeches! The night was then polished off with some nifty dancing to a fantastic live band!
I loved this wedding... just as much as I love Sarah and Russell... and that's a lot... :)

... and it was the absolute bestest.

chloe and neil {Engagement}

Ok I'm gonna be really honest... Engagement shoots scare me. I always see excited tweets from Photographers on their way to an Engagement shoot and I always think... 'Why can't I feel like that?'... instead I just always feel nervous and usually a little bit sick. You see you're meeting one of your couples, maybe for the first time and you have to take pictures of them... and good ones... and make them feel comfortable, and find good light, and use interesting backdrops and not take 4 hours to do it. So I'm always nervous. But then I meet them... and we chat and we take a few pictures and we have a laugh. The time always whizzes by and then we have coffee or stroll back to the tube and I'm not nervous anymore... I'm excited.... excited to have met them, excited to be shooting their wedding and excited to get home and edit the pictures!
This is exactly how I felt the Sunday that I shot Chloe and Neil's Engagement shoot... I had two shoots that day so had double the nerves but then got to go home with double the excitement... you'd think I'd have learnt by now but maybe the butterflies are a good thing... :)

Chloe and Neil... we had such a lovely afternoon with you pair and can't wait for your wedding!

I received the best email this morning.
You see that gorgeous couple above who make my blog header all lovely.... instead of eating pancakes on Shrove Tuesday they were a bit busy welcoming little Miss Turner* in to the world!!!! *name tbc

It's soooo cool... it's my first 'Emma Case Photography' baby too!!!

lauren & andy {Engagement}

We met up with Lauren and Andy the other Sunday in between a double wedding weekend and typical... just as we met it started to rain... but we weren't going to let Mr Rain get in our way and Andy had the perfect idea... Smithfield Market... he especially liked the 'no-one else around' factor too :)
We had a lovely afternoon followed by a coffee and a lot of cat talk and I think the best compliment I've ever had was when Andy said... "I actually nearly enjoyed that".... which from his thoughts before the shoot meant that we'd all done really well!!! :) Looking forward to shooting their wedding soon too!!!
