Another wonderful wedding weekend bites the dust.  This time in beautiful Norwich.. driving through torrential rain on Friday to Saturday's outdoor wedding we asked every good fairy possible if they could pull out all the stops for just a few hours grace.. and what did we get??  The most beautiful, DRY day filled with so much love and laughter... (thank you good fairies).. :)

We did. not. stop. smiling on Saturday... so much so my cheeks literally ached as we drove home. This pair made us laugh, made us cry and we, like all their friends and family.. simply fell in love with them both. We are very lucky to do this job.. and Saturday showed us just how much..

Exactly a year ago to the day I walked in to a different family home.. photos on the wall.. mugs of tea on the kitchen side.. and a carpet.. a carpet that held a million memories.. a constant when everything around it changes..

At Hannah and Rich's wedding on Saturday I got chatting with a Gentleman who had lived next door to Hannah's Parents when she was growing up.. they had moved in just before Hannah was born and watched her grow from a little girl.. to a teenager.. to a young lady.  It made me think how quickly time goes.. one minute we're children, the next minute we're getting married and having children of our own.. time goes so fast.  We celebrate births.. birthdays, weddings.. we get together.. we give gifts, we make speeches, we toast, we dance, we cry, we hug, we tell each other how much we love each other..

I look at these two photos and I see so much love, I see joy, I see family, I see history, I see occasion, I see memories, I see a chapter, I see a story..

..and to me that's exactly what makes a wedding..

We have a wedding tomorrow and then on Sunday we're heading off on our Welcome Home Workshop Road Trip.. I can't believe it's come around so quickly! Notes are being tweaked, goodie bags filled, butterflies are well and truly kicking in.. but one thing I know for sure.. I cannot wait to meet every single person that we've got coming.  There's been a lot of love being shared in the Welcome Home Facebook group and every single person is an absolute gem. I think I'm going to be spending a lot of time next week just hugging peeps... a lot.

So before we dash off I thought I'd share a bit of what the last month has been about.. well.. who it's been about.. I can tell you now.. there's been a whole lot of cuteness going down..
