A few weeks ago I got an email from Ross Dean asking if I would be interested in doing an interview for his new project Photo Night Live. Ross had the idea to do a weekly web TV show aiming to pull together the photography community once a week with special guests from the photo world discussing chosen hot topics.
Every week he invites one Pro Photographer and one emerging photographer in order to get a really cool discussion from both ends of the professional spectrum. Each 30 min show is designed to give the viewers an in depth view into the world of pro photography, whilst matching up names who you probably would not see anywhere else, engaged in discussion. It also provides a fantastic opportunity to the emerging photographer by showcasing them to the photography community.
Of course I jumped at the chance and didn't really think about it until that afternoon when I suddenly realised that a) I was a skype virgin and b) I would have to talk about stuff and try and make it coherent, interesting and no waffling...
It would be Ross, me and a fantastic emerging Photographer Kerrie Mitchell and our show would be all about seizing the moment, creating opportunity and being in control of your own destiny. Sweeeeeeet!
It was so much fun and actually a really lovely exercise talking about my own experiences... I really enjoyed it! Since it aired the response has been amazing and we've all had emails and tweets saying how much people enjoyed it which is brilliant... it really does feel bloody good to share!
Catch ‘Photo Night Live’ every Friday from 7pm (GMT). If you would like to be considered for a future show, please drop an email to info@rossdeanphotography.com
Also I kinda wish I'd checked what was behind me as I'm thinking the mattress propped against the wall isn't really a good look.

featherlove (her so much!)
Anyone who reads my blog or my tweets will know the complete and utter major photography (ok... overall) crush I have on Noa aka Featherlove. Give me two minutes on the subject of photography and I will have mentioned her and her stupidly amazing, engulfingly inspirational work. I just can't help it. But I just know that as soon as you see her photos... you will love her too so I like sharing the love... it's a good thing.

I am now officially calling this week "Featherlove week" as I have two lovely things to share with you to which I am still a little overwhelmed by them both...
Firstly, lovely Rosie Parsons asked if I would like to interview Noa for The Photography Parlour... I bloody jumped at the chance and you can read the full interview here....

Then back in April I actually got to meet Noa. She came over with her husband's band ASTRA and me and Pete did an Enagagement shoot with her which was so amazing.... and she literally sent me the photos yesterday and I cannot get over how much I love them. Not only because of the colours and the composition and the feel and the beauty of them but also because to me they are the story of my own photography... what I love, how I feel, what inspires me, who I love... all in one picture. I am honestly going to treasure them forever.
You can see all of the pictures on Featherlove's blog which includes the sweetest write up by the lady herself and you can also head over to Rock 'n Roll Bride as Kat blogged them too (in sync with eachother!)
Here are two of my favourite shots from the shoot... these are going on my wall :)

Love love love love crazy love.......

The Photography Parlour
The Photography Parlour is a fab new website for both pro and aspiring photographers run by the ever so talented Ms Rosie Parsons.....

Rosie got in touch asking if I would like to be featured in their 'My First Assignment' section.... errrrr YES PLEASE! She sent me over some questions and it was so therapeutic answering them! It actually made me sit back and really appreciate the last 5 months as they have actually flown by so fast that I'm still trying to gather my arse most of the time.
Check out The Photography Parlour for the full interview!
Thanks Rosie!
